Hey, thanks for stopping by.
Today we’re going to be looking at how long does it take for steroids to work.
Primarily in fact, we’re going to be looking at steroids in general as we aim to provide a general overview of them.
Are you sick and tired of spending hours on end in the gym, bench pressing, squatting, deadlifting, curling, pressing, and much more, only to find that you’re barely growing at all?
Maybe you’re looking to lean down and burn fat?
If so, can you honestly say that the pounds are melting off of your frame as quickly as you may have hoped?
If not, then there is something clearly wrong.
It could simply be that you’re eating the wrong food, or training inconsistently, or it could be that your entire lifestyle is all wrong.
Whatever you suspect the reasons for your lack of progress may be, there’s a good chance that the thought of crossing over to the dark side of steroid use, will have entered your mind at least once.
The fact of the matter is that anabolic steroids are extraordinary when it comes to muscle growth, athletic performance, and recovery, which is why we’ll be looking at them in more detail below.
Before we look at steroids and at how long does it take for steroids to work and how do steroids work, we must first get the legal stuff out of the way.
We do not condone the use of steroids, nor do we advise the use of anabolic steroids, but we certainly don’t judge people that use them either.
If used correctly and safely, they work incredibly well and provide many benefits to the human body.
If abused, however, or used incorrectly, that’s when the dangers really become apparent.
Steroids are dangerous, there are no two ways about it, but they are also very effective.
What are steroids?
Anabolic steroids are basically synthetic versions of hormones.
Specifically, they are synthetic variations of nor-testosterone and testosterone, which is produced naturally within the human body.
Before we go any further, it’s important to clear up a common misconception regarding steroids.
Chances are that you know somebody who, upon falling ill, was prescribed steroids by the doctor.
Now, after receiving these steroids, they may have been wary of exercising in case they got ‘too big’.
Steroids prescribed by doctors to help treat immune responses and inflammation are known as corticosteroids.
They do cause a little weight gain and water retention, but they are not the same as anabolic steroids.
Anabolic steroids are, as mentioned, synthetic variants of anabolic hormones such as testosterone.
Anabolic steroids were discovered roughly in the 1930s.
Back then, when looking for new medications for humans, scientists discovered that what we now know as anabolic steroids, could cause significant increases in muscle mass in animals.
Further tests were conducted on humans with muscular degeneration and it was found that they promoted increases in muscle mass in humans as well.
The experiments continued and by the 1950s, a scientist by the name of John Ziegler had created an oral steroid which we now know as Dianabol.
As swallowing a tablet was simple, athletes and sportsmen and women began using Dianabol to improve their physiques and athletic performances.
The results were so impressive that different varieties of the steroid were created, all designed to serve slightly different purposes.
Some were found to burn fat, while others were found to increase strength.
What’s even more surprising is that these steroids were primarily aimed at athletes, and were as common amongst athletes as whey protein is now.
Back then, steroids were very legal.
With simple chemical alterations to the structure of these compounds, different levels of androgenic and/or anabolic activity could be created.
The more anabolic steroid is, the more ‘manly’ it makes the user.
For example, those that use steroids with high levels of anabolic activity, are likely to build a lot of muscle, have a strong libido, be fairly athletic, have deep voices, and have the ability to grow the manliest beard ever known to man.
How To Get Hold Of Steroids
By now we know that anabolic steroids are banned and illegal, so getting hold of them is much harder than simply walking into the nearest health store and picking up a tub of creatine and whey protein.
Nevertheless, as so many people still use steroids to this day, getting hold of them is actually fairly simple.
Obviously, we can’t tell you where to get them, but they are available.
If you do purchase them, however, always ensure they are safe and that you know what you are getting.
Alternatively, you can purchase legal steroids online, which are basically safer, legal variants of steroids made from natural ingredients, that are designed to mimic the effects of steroids with the added bonus of being safe and legal.
How Long Does It Take for Steroids To Work?
Asking how long steroids take to work is like asking how long a piece of string is.
There is no right or wrong answer to this question because it is so vague.
There are dozens of different anabolic steroids out there, with each one being created to serve a different purpose.
Some are weak, some are moderate, and some are incredibly strong.
If you were to ask how long Anavar takes to work, for example, you would get a completely different answer to if you were to ask how long Trenbolone takes to work.
Anavar is known as the ‘girl steroid’ due to the fact that it is very weak and is therefore considered to be better suited for women.
Taking Anavar alone is never going to get you big and swollen.
Trenbolone, however, is arguably the most powerful steroid in existence, and this is very much a steroid used by the big boys of the bodybuilding world.
Tren is much stronger and more powerful than Anavar, so it will almost certainly get to work much quicker.
If you want a general idea of how long does it take for steroids to work, however, we’d say that with consistent use and the right diet and training program, you could notice slight improvements after 1 week, with dramatic improvements likely being noticed at around the 4-week mark.
Remember, all bodies are different, as are all steroids, so that figure is just a rough estimate.
Put simply, if you’re taking Anavar, don’t come crying to us if, after 4 weeks, you’ve barely gained a pound of muscle.
How To Get The Most Out Of Steroids
If you really want to benefit from anabolic steroids, you need to know how to use them correctly to get the most from them.
Steroids are not cheap to purchase, and if you use them incorrectly, you may as well have flushed your money down the toilet.
Here’s a look at how to get the most out of anabolic steroids.
Always Buy From Trusted Suppliers
As anabolic steroids are illegal in many parts of the world, you can’t simply walk into the nearest store and buy them straight off the shelf.
A quick online search will yield thousands of results for steroid suppliers, but not all of them are genuine.
If you are buying steroids, you simply MUST make sure that you purchase from trusted suppliers so that you know exactly what you’re getting.
If you buy Winstrol for example, you need to know that you are getting Winstrol, and not a similar compound that is perhaps cheaper to make.
You will have to do your research when sourcing a steroid supplier, but trust us, it is well worth doing.
Make Sure You Are Training Consistently
If you’re using steroids to get swollen, you aren’t going to be making gains by injecting and then sitting on your ass watching Netflix all night.
If you want to add muscle with the help of steroids, you need to be busting your backside in the gym.
Your workouts should be intense, they should be consistent, and you should follow a structured program.
Don’t just walk in and train what you feel like training on the day, follow a routine that allows you to hit all muscle groups each week.
You need to be hitting each major muscle group at least once, so make sure your workouts include plenty of variation.
You should also be progressing with each session.
So if on one week, you were able to bench 225 pounds for 10, the following week you may wish to bench 250 pounds, or perhaps 225 for 11 or 12.
Basically, you should always aim to outdo your previous best performance.
Sort Out Your Diet
A lot of steroid users out there will train like maniacs in the gym, but once out of the gym they will eat and drink whatever they like.
If you want to build lean muscle in a healthy and controlled way, you need to be eating the right foods at the right times.
The odd treat here and it is fine, but just make sure that your diet is on-point 90% of the time.
Stick with the tried and tested basics of bodybuilding, so foods like:
- Sweet potato
- Wholegrain bread
- Peanut butter
- Whey protein
- Cottage cheese
- And so on…
Always Use As Instructed
Anabolic steroids are very dangerous, and they should be used with the respect that they deserve.
A lot of people out there, however, will use them incorrectly and end up paying the price.
Some steroid users, for example, will double up their daily dosages to try to speed up results.
This not only doesn’t work for them but often it ends up damaging their health in the process.
Never exceed the recommended daily dosage, so if you are instructed to take 1 tablet per day, you should only take 1 tablet per day, and not 2!
Always End A Cycle With PCT
When you finish a steroid cycle, it is absolutely vital that you run a PCT cycle afterward.
PCT stands for post-cycle therapy, and it is hugely important for your health and well-being.
The idea behind PCT is that you use compounds that help heal your body and protect you from the harmful effects of steroids.
Some steroids, for example, contain aromatizing enzymes that cause testosterone to aromatize and convert into estrogen.
Estrogenic side-effects can include fat gain, and gynecomastia, which is where a man grows breast tissue.
PCT can also help protect the liver and major organs.
This is especially important when it comes to steroids with high levels of liver toxicity.
Primarily, you will find that Clomid and Nolvadex are two of the big hitters when it comes to PCT, although Milk Thistle supplements are also strongly recommended.
Are Steroids Right For Me?
So, we’ve looked at how long does it take for steroids to work, as well as what they are and how to use them correctly.
Now we’ll look at whether steroids are right for you.
In reality, only you know the answer to that question.
If you are serious about transforming your physique and taking your diet and training to a new level, then steroids could indeed prove useful.
Remember, you have to commit properly to steroids to get the most out of them, and to remain safe.
So if you can’t do that then we recommend that you stay natural for now.
