As you will probably know if you happen to use social media.
The fitness industry is changing.
Gone are the days when you had to be a Mr. Olympia.
Or a MuscleTech sponsored athlete to make a name for yourself in the industry.
Nowadays, young up and coming personalities in the bodybuilding and fitness communities.
Are promoting themselves and their amazing physiques.
And they’re reaping the rewards.
Connor Murphy is a prime example of this.
This is why today, we are going to look at is Connor Murphy on steroids or is he natural.
You see, Connor Murphy is a young kid with an amazing physique.
In fact, he looks better than people twenty years his senior.
This has resulted in a number of people.
Especially those on social media, calling him out for potentially using steroids.
Now, when you have a large following on social media.
There is always going to be negativity.
That simply goes without saying.
Connor, however, has experienced quite the backlash of late.
But are these steroid claims with merit?
Connor’s personality and the way in which he has made a name for himself has, of course.
Set him up for online abuse and trolling in general (more on that later) but primarily.
We would like to focus on his physique today in a bid to determine is Connor Murphy on steroids or is he natural.
As always, before we proceed any further, we must first get the legal stuff out of the way.
We are in no way associated with Connor Murphy or anybody close to him, and in truth.
We have no idea whether he is on steroids, or if he has ever used steroids.
The views contained in this article are purely our own and are based purely on speculation.
We don’t condone steroid use and we can’t possibly recommend the use of steroids either.
Steroids are very dangerous and could potentially be fatal.
With that said, we won’t judge those that use them either.
Connor Murphy looks awesome.
But did he build his physique naturally?
In this case, you might know more about Steroids VS Natural Athletes.
Who Is Connor Murphy?
Connor Murphy is a young man with a, shall we say, interesting personality.
Not only is Connor a bodybuilder.
But he also happens to be quite the YouTube personality.
Interestingly enough, however, is the fact that he isn’t YouTube famous because of his fitness-related content.
No, Conor has made a name for himself on YouTube from being a prankster and trolling people.
As of this writing, he has around 1.5 Million subscribers.
Which in terms of YouTube, is very impressive.
Connor is a bit of a Peter Pan character.
In that, he refuses to really grow up.
We’re all for having fun.
But Connor seems to take this a little too far.
Anybody over the age of 21 probably finds Connor annoying as hell.
But that’s okay because his target audience is skinny college guys and teens who look up to him because they don’t know any better.
Once they become old enough to think for themselves.
They realize that he is, in fact, immature as hell.
But that’s okay because Connor then has a fresh bunch of college freshmen to target instead.
And so, the annoying cycle continues.
Connor pulls ‘pranks’ on camera to gain views and followers and to be fair to the guy.
Some of his content is mildly entertaining.
The problem, however, is that he is not a kid anymore.
And he comes across as arrogant and immature.
We’re not sure whether it’s his smug face, the nature of his pranks.
Or perhaps simply because we’re slightly jealous because his physique is awesome.
But we can understand why so many people seem to want to punch him in the face.
Now, we’ve established that Connor is quite the prankster and that he earns much of his living from trolling people in real life.
But why are people constantly accusing him of using steroids?
Well, as we’re going to be looking at is Connor Murphy on steroids or is he natural.
We’re going to address these steroid accusations right now.
As you know, there are many different varieties of steroids out there.
And each one is designed to serve a different purpose.
Some steroids are created to build muscle.
While others are there to burn fat.
Some increase energy, while others promote strength.
Conor’s physique is very impressive.
And it’s clear from the outset that he takes his diet and his training incredibly seriously.
Currently, he is well over 205 pounds and has competed on stage a number of times in the past.
When you see him, however, he is always in shape.
He is ripped, vascular, and defined and is carrying far more muscle than the average man his age.
His chest, arms, tris, back, delts, and legs are all fairly in proportion.
So you can see why people take such notice of his physique.
All you have to do is read his posts on social media or the comments under his YouTube videos.
And you’ll instantly see that people are constantly berating him for taking steroids.
Whether these people are angry at him, jealous.
Or if they are simply trying to troll him back.
You can’t help but feel pretty intimidated by the amount of hate he gets online.
Some would argue that he brings it on himself, but some comments are just above and beyond what would constitute as online banter, or friendly ribbing.
People are adamant that he is taking steroids.
And that he has lied about being natural.
But what do we think?
Is Connor Murphy On Steroids Or Is He Natural?
So, now we’ve established who Connor is.
We can now take a look at whether or not he could be on steroids or whether we think he is in fact natural.
Remember, the content in this article is based purely on speculation on our part.
And we certainly have no concrete evidence either for or against.
Steroid use on Connor’s part.
To really get a good idea as to whether or not somebody could potentially be using steroids.
It is best to see whether they have undergone any dramatic physical transformations over the years.
You see, steroids are designed to promote rapid increases in muscle mass.
Building muscle naturally can take years.
Whereas with steroids, it can take weeks.
If you see somebody that regularly goes to the gym, eats right, and trains hard, keep an eye on their physique.
If a few years later, they’re 10 pounds heavier.
This is almost certainly attainable naturally in that amount of time.
If they’ve constantly hovered at around 180 pounds.
Then suddenly in a few months, they balloon up to 220 pounds.
That 40-pound increase in muscle mass will almost certainly be due to steroids.
It just isn’t possible to build that amount of muscle in that amount of time.
No matter how hard you train, or how much protein you consume.
Connor, aged 17, was already fairly big at 170 pounds.
He was trained regularly and his diet was on point and he clearly knew his way around the gym.
After a couple of years, however, he bulked up to 205 pounds.
Now, this amount of muscle in that amount of time is certainly possible naturally.
But at the same time, it is also possible through the use of steroids.
Connor has undergone an impressive transformation.
But it didn’t happen overnight, and it certainly isn’t overly dramatic.
So, while that doesn’t prove he’s natty, it also certainly doesn’t prove that he was on gear.
Or that he ever used steroids to help get him in shape.
He Has Competed And Was Tested
In bodybuilding, it’s kind of a known fact that a lot of pro bodybuilders use anabolic androgenic steroids.
After all, the fact that they have ‘natural’ federations and ‘natural’ competitions pretty much confirm that steroids are rife in the bodybuilding world, right?
Well, for what it’s worth, just because a federation or organization claims to be natural, that doesn’t necessarily make it so.
If you had an organization which marketed itself as being natural.
You’d expect all bodybuilders competing there to be natural.
Well, Connor has previously competed for the NPC.
The NPC claims to be a natural organization, and while they do test their athletes.
The testing protocols there is a bit of a joke.
The NPC always test their athletes, after a show.
That’s right, athletes know when they are being tested.
Legit natural testing procedures will be carried out randomly, at any day, at any time.
This is a great deterrent because you never know when you are going to be tested.
So you can’t plan a cycle, which normally lasts several months.
Because you’ve no idea when you may be tested.
Some people risk it and hope they won’t be tested, but they nearly always are.
With the NPC, as you know the date of your test, you can simply select your steroid cycle and plan it so that it ends in time for you to step on stage with all of your gains, with no steroids in your system to show up on your drug test.
We’re not saying that each NPC bodybuilder does that, but it is a possibility. (exactly like Bostin Loyd Case)
So, even though Conor has indeed passed a drug test when he competed, this doesn’t prove he is a legit 100% natty bodybuilder.
He Claims Natty
Another potential piece of evidence which could suggest that Connor is indeed natty is the fact that he has gone on record as claiming to be natural.
Anybody can lie and say they’re natural when they aren’t, but you have to think logically about things.
We know steroids exist, and they certainly do, but they bury their heads so far in the sand that they hope people will genuinely not think to question them about steroid use.
It’s rare that a bodybuilder would draw attention to the existence of steroids, let alone have the audacity to claim natty when they clearly aren’t.
Connor, however, has been very vocal about anabolic steroids.
Connor has gone on record as saying on the video ‘I’m natural, I’ve never taken steroids’.
You can’t really say much fairer than that.
He is either very brave, very stupid, or he is genuinely telling the truth and has built his physique naturally through training, diet, and hard work.
Take one look at Connor and it’s clear that he lifts.
He carries a lot of muscle, much more than the average person.
Put him next to a legit bodybuilder that is open about steroid use, however, and Connor actually looks pretty average.
Connor is muscular, but everything is in proportion.
Connor, while having impressive deltoids, doesn’t have huge boulder shoulders that are commonly associated with steroid use.
Steroid users quickly find their deltoids and traps blowing up in size because they contain the most androgen receptors in the body.
Connor’s shoulders and traps, however, are big, but not enormous, such as Thomas Delauer.
So, is Connor Murphy On Steroids Or Is He Natural?
Right, so, we’ve now looked at the evidence and we think that, based on everything listed above, that Connor Murphy is in fact natty.
He may look great, but he certainly doesn’t look freakishly big or conditioned.
He has a great physique, but we think that you could certainly attain the same look naturally if you put in the work.
